I still can’t believe we are nearing the end of January. How the heck did that happen? I’ve broken just about every resolution this year already! What about you?
One of my resolutions last year was to finish my guest bedroom, so I thought why not tackle it this year? Ha! Seriously though, it’s going to get done.
This year… this month… as the clock tick-tocks…
So, I thought I’d get you primed for the new transition to come.
Let me show you where this gem started when we moved in.
This picture was taken when we walked through the home for inspection.
Not too bad, but this space definitely needs new window treatments, paint, bedding, lighting…
don’t you agree?
The bathroom was in pretty decent shape – probably my favorite room at the start.
BUT, see the shaving creme, scissors, and such?
Yeah, there was about an inch full of hair in that sink… gross!
I guess short-sale homes offer you the gross and you either have to run away or embrace the challenge.
and…
some days I wish we would’ve run!
But here we are.

Here is a little inspiration for the room so you can see what direction I am headed.
I found striped window panels and am designing the room around them.
I hope the space adds comfort to all guests who enter.
