One Room Challenge – Week Three

Things are cruising along here with the One Room Challenge.

As you know, I am revamping my powder room and am thankful for choosing a small room. There are so many little details that can’t be overlooked in this small space, which makes it the perfect amount of time to get it accomplished (fingers crossed).

This week was a busy week, we started by removing the sink and toilet (high five). I was incredibly happy to see them go as it gave me room to get a ladder in there.

Why a ladder?

I’ve been working on the ceiling. Remember when I told you the ceiling was going to be special? Well, special it is, and it’s almost done. I’ve been stenciling the ceiling with

this stencil.

Can I just say…

I LOVE IT!

The very dark charcoal paint is “Flint”, by Restoration Hardware.

There isn’t a RH close to my home, so I opted to save a trip and have a color match done. I am loving the contrast, and feel when the room is complete, it will be the perfect color choice.

I purchased a mirror which was originally on my inspiration board,

but when I got it home, it was the wrong size in the room and didn’t fit correctly.

(bummer)

Immediately I scoured the internet for another mirror, ordered one, and it arrived yesterday.

I’m hoping it’s a winner!

The tile is supposed to arrive tomorrow. Ordering online, sight unseen, is taking a huge leap of faith as I want a true matte finish on the hex tile. Let’s hope it’s exactly what I envisioned.
