Here we are in week 4 of the One Room Challenge.
I really feel like I don’t have much to show you, but we have been working every, single, day. I keep looking ahead, focused and ready, for a finished room.
The ceiling is now finished… can I get a hallelujah?
It took me longer than anticipated. I wanted to make sure the ceiling was dry before placing the stencil in place over the previously painted area. Therefore, it took me awhile to get it complete. This stencil is a showstopper, but right now it doesn’t look extremely special paired with the brown walls. I am trusting it will be a statement when the powder room is complete.
My husband removed the tile
and now we are needing to remove the mortar. After searching for a tool to remove the mortar, we decided to rent proper equipment this weekend to get the job done. Once that is complete, we will be able to start tiling.
Remember when I said I ordered tile sight unseen? It arrived and I am happy with it – thank goodness! If it wasn’t right, I highly doubt this challenge would make it to a final reveal. I still have high hopes for an on time completion.
Looks like we have a long way to go, eh?
Hopefully next week there will be some fun pictures and action happening here to show you. It’s been slow going so far, but we will giddy up and get a move on here.
Thanks for cheering me on…
Enjoy!
Every. Single. Moment.
